Actually, you need to choose a platform, and your characters on that platform will be your active characters. Your other characters won’t be deleted, but will no longer be accessible while Cross Save is on. So, you can’t merge Guardians or Collections on different platforms. Confirm your choice by click “Make these my active characters on all platforms”.

Step 7. Review your setup. Review the platforms on which your selected active characters, silvers, as well as Clan will be available. Confirm the setup by clicking YES, DO IT! Or, just click BACK to previous settings to change your setups.

Does Cross Save enables me to play with people on other platforms?
No, it doesn’t! Cross Save will not allow you to engage players on other platforms in real-time.
Can I cross save if I don’t have Destiny 2 on another platform?
No, you can’t. only when you have all your linked platforms installed with Destiny 2, can you cross save among them. Cross saving is just a link service, now sync or copy. This is the same for game versions that can’t be transferred between platforms, purchased slivers, and your clans; they all can’t be cross saved or merged.
