Microsoft Office 2019 Launched for Windows and Mac
September 24, 2018 was the first day of Microsoft’s Ignite conference which was hold in Orlando, Florida. The Seattle Company made a number of announcements.
It said that it launched a $40 million AI for the Humanitarian Action initiative, shown the Azure service to build the AI models automatically, as well as start the Cortana Skills Kit, Surface Hub 2S and Surface Hub 2X, and AI-powered suggestions in Microsoft 365.
And on September 24, 2018, it announced the Microsoft Office 2019 launched for both Windows and Mac users.
Since this day, the Microsoft Office 2019,as the direct successor to Microsoft Office 2016, is available for volume licensed customers. It is said that the additional SKUs will come in the next few weeks. Here, you need to know that the Project, Visio, Access, and Publisher will only be available for Windows.
Jared Spataro, the corporate vice president for Office and Windows Marketing, said that the latest versions of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and so forth contain a number of enhancements which have been added to Office 365 over the past 3 years. However, unlike Office 365, they will not get a further feature upgrades.

We’re pleased to confirm that we’re committed to another on-premises release in the future.”
If your organization doesn’t want to upgrade to Microsoft Office 2019 immediately, you should not feel anxious. Microsoft has extended the support for Office 2016 and Office 365 backend services to October 2023. You can also has an optional two additional years of paid support.
In addition, the Office 365 Pro Plus on Windows 8.1 and older operating systems can be supported through January 2023.
