One important reason why the 2nd monitor not detected on Windows is that you haven’t set your PC to recognize multiple monitors.

  1. Check the cables between new monitor and your computer to make sure they are connected properly.
  2. Right click on the blank space on desktop; then, choose Display settings from the context menu.
  3. Scroll down to the Multiple displays section in the right panel.
  4. Click on the Detect button and wait a few seconds.
  5. When the multiple displays options appear, you should select an option from its drop-down list. (Extend desktop should be selected if you’d like to get the largest work area.)
  6. Click Keep changes.
  7. Scroll up to find Resolution option in the Scale and layout section.
  8. Choose a resolution for it. (I advise you to keep the recommended resolution settings if you have no special needs.)
  9. Click Keep changes to confirm.

  6. Choose Search automatically for updated driver software and wait.
