This build is available in the Beta Channel currently. Microsoft is still introducing new features to this build. File Explorer Tabs

Fie Explorer tabs is the long-wait feature in Windows 11. Microsoft has been planning for it for a long time. Users also look forward to it for a long time. Now, Windows 11 22H2 can take File Explorer via Windows 11 Build 22621.160 (KB5014770).

File Explorer tabs is just like the tabs in Chrome, you can click the “+” icon on the top bar to add a new tab. You can also switch among multiple tabs easily and quickly. It is also possible to move a tab to your desired location. You see, everything is simple now.

Microsoft also updates the left navigation pane in File Explorer. After updating, it will be very easy to switch to the folder you want to open. For example, you can find your pinned and frequently used folder from the left pane. On the other hand, your OneDrive cloud profiles are added to Windows.

However, Microsoft is still testing these new features. So they are not available to all Insiders in the Beta Channel. How to Get Windows 11 Build 22621.160?

If you are already in the Beta Channel and running a Windows 11 preview build, you can just go to Settings > Windows Update to see if the update is available. Usually, your system can automatically detect the update and show it in Windows Update. Then, you can click the Download & install button to install it on your computer. At last, you still need to click the Restart now button to restart your device to complete the entire installation.
