Maybe, you are looking for information about DOCP, then, this post is what you need. This post from MiniTool introduces what DOCP is and how to enable and disable it. Besides, you can know how to fix the DOCP issues.
What Is DOCP
What is DOCP? DOCP stands for Direct Overclocking Profile. It is an overclocking profile developed by ASUS for AMD motherboards. DOCP uses XMP protocol to automatically set data rate and timing on AMD motherboards.

DOCP is much better than manual configuration because you may make mistakes when setting voltage and speed, but DOCP will set everything according to the hardware specifications.
DOCP increases the speed and voltage for better stability, and it also affects the CPU’s memory controller. It is normal to see the temperature rise while playing games. Sometimes, poor ventilation may also be the main reason for the temperature rise after DOCP is enabled. Please make sure that your CPU case has enough fans, and check whether your CPU cooler is good enough.
How to Enable/Disable DOCP
Now, let’s see how to enable or disable DOCP.
Step 1: Press the F2 or Delete key during the boot-up process to enter BIOS.
Step 2: Press the F7 key to open the Advanced mode. Then, click the AI Tweaker option.
Step 3: Now click the dropdown key located right next to AI Overclock Tuner.
Step 4: Select D.O.C.P in the menu. At last, click Save & Exit or press the F10 key.
After enabling DOCP, you can also set FCLK (Fabric Clock). It should be set to 1/2 of the MHz value of DDR4 RAM.
If you want to disable it, follow the first three steps mentioned in the previous section and choose to stop using DOCP automatically or manually.
How to Fix the DOCP Issue
Sometimes, DOCP causes the game to crash. If you encounter this issue, you can try the following methods to get rid of the issue.
1. Check Your Memory
QVL (Qualified Supplier List) is provided by the motherboard manufacturer, so you can check the hardware compatibility. If you have RAM that is not on the list, you must purchase compatible RAM.
2. Increase Memory Voltage
Sometimes increasing the RAM voltage and manually setting the timing can solve the crash problem, so be sure to try this before getting new RAM.
3. Reset CMOS
If you encounter a PC unable to boot after enabling DOCP, you can try to reset CMOS (Complementary Metal Oxide Semiconductor). Resetting CMOS will reset your BIOS to the factory default state. CMOS can be reset using BIOS, but since your PC is not turned on, you can reset it through CLRTC.
