Solution 1: Terminate and Restart Microsoft Defender
Sometimes, a temporary glitch in the Microsoft Defender application may prevent it from establishing a connection to the server and validating your login credentials. In most cases, you can solve the problem by restarting it. Here are the steps.
1. Type Task Manager in the Search box to open it.
