MiniTool Partition Wizard 12.6 introduces a redesigned Data Recovery interface, improves FAT32 partition recovery, and supports Windows 11.

MiniTool has released MiniTool Partition Wizard 12.6 for Windows users. This update introduces a redesigned interface for the built-in Data Recovery feature, improves data recovery from FAT32 partitions, and adds support for Windows 11.

A Redesigned Data Recovery Interface

MiniTool Partition Wizard 12.6 brings a new interface to its Data Recovery feature, making it easier to locate a drive and start a recovery scan.

In the previous version, detected drives were displayed across multiple categories, which could make it less straightforward to identify the desired storage location. This partition manager reorganizes the interface and introduces several changes:

  1. Logical drives and devices are organized into two tabs, making it easier to locate a target drive or physical device.
  2. Recovery Result is integrated into Specific Location and moved to the lower section of the interface.
  3. The Scan button appears when hovering over a target drive or device, allowing users to start a scan directly.
  4. The Refresh button is moved to the upper-right corner, making it easier to refresh the drive list when a storage device is not detected.
  5. Scan Settings is placed in a collapsible left panel, which users can expand or collapse as needed.

These changes simplify the recovery workflow and make the available scanning options easier to access.

Improved FAT32 Data Recovery

MiniTool Partition Wizard 12.6 also improves the scanning and recovery of data from FAT32 partitions.

MiniTool Partition Wizard supports data recovery from FAT32, exFAT, NTFS, and some unidentified file systems. With the updated recovery capabilities, the software can scan FAT32 partitions more accurately for deleted or lost files, including photos, videos, and other data.

FAT32 remains widely used on removable storage devices such as USB flash drives and memory cards, as well as external storage used with devices including PlayStation consoles. The improved FAT32 recovery capability provides an additional option when important files are accidentally deleted or lost from these storage devices.

Windows 11 Compatibility

MiniTool Partition Wizard 12.6 also adds compatibility with Windows 11, Microsoft’s latest Windows operating system at the time of release.

Users running Windows 11 can use the updated version to manage disks and partitions and access its data recovery features within the supported Windows environment.
