MiniTool Partition Wizard 12.7 was released on November 23, 2022, with several improvements to its Data Recovery function. The update also optimizes exFAT partition scanning and recovery and fixes issues related to Disk Copy and changing cluster size.
Enhanced Data Recovery
Data Recovery is one of the major areas improved in MiniTool Partition Wizard 12.7. The new version updates the scan result interface and introduces several changes designed to make scan progress and file filtering clearer.
Clearer Scan Progress
The scanning progress bar has been moved to the bottom of the Data Recovery interface. It now displays the scanning progress as a percentage, making it easier to see how much of the scan has been completed.
Improved Data Filter
The Data Recovery Filter function has also been redesigned. It now provides four filtering categories:
- By File Type
- By Date Modified
- By File Size
- By File Categories
Each category includes preset values, allowing users to narrow down scan results based on information they remember about the lost files.
Optimized exFAT Partition Scanning and Recovery
MiniTool Partition Wizard 12.7 also improves scanning and data recovery for exFAT partitions. When scanning an exFAT partition, the updated version is designed to work faster and more stably while finding more files in the scan results.
These improvements can be particularly useful when recovering data from storage devices that use the exFAT file system.
Fixed Disk Copy and Cluster Size Issues
In addition to Data Recovery improvements, MiniTool Partition Wizard 12.7 fixes several issues in other functions.
The update resolves an issue where unallocated space might not appear after using Disk Copy. The fix improves the stability of the Disk Copy function.
The new version also fixes an occasional software crash related to changing cluster size. Users can now use the Change Cluster Size function without encountering the issue found in the previous version.
