Method 1: Via Copy and Paste
Before starting, check the file size and the amount of disk space it occupies on your current drive. Then, make sure that the drive you are moving Valorant to has more disk space than the required amount.
Step 1: Go to the folder where you have previously installed Valorant.
Step 2: Right-click the VALORANT folder and the Riot Client folder to choose the Cut icon.
Step 3: Then paste them into the destination of your choosing on the other drive.
Step 4: Next, if you don’t have a Valorant launcher or Riot Client, you can download it from the official website.
Step 5: Double-click the Valorant installer to open the Valorant setup page and click the Advanced option.
Step 6: Once you selected the new location, press OK.
Method 2: Move Valorant via Notepad
There is another way for you to change the install path for Valorant that can save your time. However, this method is a little bit difficult.
Step 1: Copy and paste the Valorant folder by the above steps in method 1.
Step 2: Navigate to Valorant > live and copy the live folder address.
Step 3: Press Windows + R keys to open Run, then, type %programdata% and press Enter.
Step 4: Go to the Riot Games folder and find the RiotClientInstall.json file. Right-click it to choose Open with > Notepad.
Step 3: In the associated_client, you will see a couple of addresses, inside the first double quotes you will see Valorant game files.
Step 4: Scroll down to the bottom and you will see product_install_full_path.
Step 5: Replace the path of product_install_full_path with the path that you copied earlier.
Step 6: Replace the backslashes with the forward slash. Press Ctrl + S to save the file.
Step 7: Press Windows + R keys to open Run, then, type %programdata% and press Enter.
Step 8: Then, go to Metadata > valorant.live and go to open the valorant.live.product_settings.yaml file. Right-click it to choose Open with > Notepad.
Step 9: Replace the value of the product_install_root path with the parent folder of the Valorant files. For example, c:/temp/Valorant/live so in this path temp is the parent folder.
Step 10: Replace the backslashes with the forward slash and press Ctrl + S to save the file and close the notepad.
