How to Download and Install This New WhatsApp Beta UWP App on Windows 11/10?

The new WhatsApp UWP app is still in beta testing. But you can download it from the Microsoft Store if you are using the latest version of Windows 10 or Windows 11.

This new WhatsApp Beta UWP app is based on XAML and WinUI. To get better performance, Facebook ditched Electron-based web components.

In theory, this desktop app is better than the WhatsApp web and the design is similar to the Windows Phone app and WhatsApp web. As it is under testing, there will be no advanced features in it.

If you want to download and install the WhatsApp Beta UWP app on your computer, you can follow these steps:

2. Click the Get button on that newly opened page.

New Features in WhatsApp Beta UWP App

As mentioned above, there are no advanced features in this new app. But there are some appearance improvements.

For example, WhatsApp UWP uses the modern visual design that is available on Windows 11 and Windows 10. It has round corners. But it is only available in the new operating system Windows 11 now. Besides, the Mica-like transparency effect also works in WhatsApp UWP.

If you are running Windows 10, you can note the acrylic transparency in WhatsApp Beta. It offers a more native experience. On the other hand, it also aligns the interface with Windows 11’s modern design improvements updates.

Additionally, it supports Windows inking. If you are using a touchscreen, you can click the attachment button and click on inking to use this feature. Of course, it works with a mouse or touchpad.
