Step 1. Open Google Maps on your phone.

Step 2. Click on the three-horizontal-line button and select Settings.

Step 3. Scroll down to navigate to Personal Content.

Step 4. Select Location History settings and turn on Location History.

Step 5. Choose Pause to continue and click Pause again to turn off Location History.

After setting as mentioned above, Google Maps will not save your location history.

Step 1. Open Personal Content as mentioned above.

Step 2. Scroll down to find Automatically delete Location History.

Step 3. There are 3 options for you: Keep until I delete manually, Keep for 18 months, and Keep for 3 months. You can choose according to your needs.

Step 5. Tap on Done to turn off Google Maps.
