Microsoft Blocks the Popular Bypassnro Workaround in Windows 11
When Windows 11 version 22H2 was released, Microsoft required an Internet connection and a Microsoft account during the installation process, but users quickly found workarounds.
The most popular workaround is using the bypassnro command, which can be entered into Command Prompt in the Windows installation experience to skip the function of connecting to the Internet, thereby bypassing the Microsoft account requirement.
However, Microsoft has disabled the popular bypassnro Windows 11 sign-in workaround in the latest Insider build (Preview build 26200.5516).
Although Microsoft has only removed this workaround in the Insider version, it is expected that the official production version of Windows 11 will also adopt this workaround soon. Microsoft claims that this move is aimed to enhance the security and user experience of Windows 11.
A New Way to Bypass Microsoft Account Requirement in Windows 11
Here is a new way to bypass the Microsoft account requirement. Follow the guide below to do that:
Step 1: Start a new Windows 11 installation. On the Let’s connect you to a network screen, press the Shift + F10 keys together to open Command Prompt.
Step 2: Type the following command and press the Enter key.
start ms-cxh:localonly
Step 3: Then, you can see a Microsoft account window and you can create a new local user for the Windows 11 install.
Step 4: Type the username and password and click the Next button to continue.
When you find that Microsoft has disabled the bypassnro Windows 11 sign-in workaround, you can also directly bypass it via Rufus.
Step 1: Insert a USB Flash drive into a PC that can boot normally. Make sure that USB has at least 8 GB.
Step 2: Download Rufus from the official website. Then, run it.
Step 3: In the Boot selection part, click the dropdown and select DOWNLOAD.
Step 4: Choose the version, release edition, language, and architecture. Click Download.
Step 5: Once the download completes, the boot selection will be automatically the ISO file that just downloaded and you can click START to continue.
Step 6: Then, it will ask you to customize Windows installation. You need to check the Remove requirements for an online Microsoft account option.

Step 7: Then, you can use the customized ISO image to install Windows 11.
