How to Turn on the Search Bar in Task Manager on Windows 11?

You need to download the ViVeTool on your PC, and with it, you can enable the search bar in Task Manager on Windows 11.

Here we go!

Step 1: Go to the ViVe Tool release download page from GitHub.

Step 2: The latest version of ViVeTool is on the top of the page. You need to click the ViVeTool v*.*.*.zip link to download it on your device.

Step 3: The downloaded file is compressed. You need to extract it and then transfer the folder to a location that is easy to find. I move it the drive C.

Step 4: Open the ViVeTool folder and click the address bar on the top. Then, the location of the folder is highlighted. Copy it for use.

Step 5: Right-click the Start button from the taskbar, then select (Windows) Terminal (Admin). This will run Windows Terminal as administrator.

Step 6: Type cd C:\ViveTool into Windows Terminal and press Enter to run it. The command line after cd is the path of the ViVeTool folder.

Step 7: Then, run this command: vivetool /enable /id:39420424 in Windows Terminal.

If you want to disable the search bar feature in Task Manager on Windows 11, you can run vivetool /disable /id:39420424 in this step.

Step 8: Restart your computer.

After these steps, you can right-click Start and select Task Manager to open it. Then, check if the search box is available in Task Manager.
