MiniTool has released MiniTool Power Data Recovery V11, introducing improvements to the way users browse and filter files in scan results. The update rebuilds the Type function, optimizes Filter, adds more filtering options, and includes several other interface improvements and bug fixes.
Rebuilt Type Function
The Type feature has been redesigned in MiniTool Power Data Recovery V11 to improve how users browse files by category in scan results.
As data recovery software has evolved, users have increasingly used Type to locate specific files after a scan. Version 11 therefore rebuilds the underlying data structure of Type and updates how files are organized under different file categories.
This gives users another way to narrow down scan results when they know the type of files they want to recover.
Improved Filter Function
MiniTool Power Data Recovery V11 also reorganizes the Filter function to make file filtering more straightforward.
The new Filter option brings together All Files, Lost Files, and Advanced Filter, which were previously separated in the scan result interface. Users can use the available filtering conditions to narrow down results based on information they remember about the lost files, such as file type, file name, or file size.
Another update is that files can now be filtered under both Path and Type. This gives users more flexibility when looking for specific files in scan results.
Other Improvements and Bug Fixes
The new version also includes several smaller interface improvements and fixes.
When users select a location to scan, the selected area is now highlighted to make it easier to identify. Version 11 also fixes an issue where Type might not display files when scanning specified paths.
In addition, files saved from the Type path now use the same names shown under Type, making recovered files easier to distinguish without opening the recovered folder first.
