3D NAND UFS EFD for Surveillance

The Western Digital iNAND® IX EU312 UFS EFD is the industry’s first industrial-grade 3D NAND UFS embedded flash drive for surveillance.

It is built on the company’s advanced 3D NAND architecture, and has high capacities to camera and smart video applications at the edge.

The read speeds can be up to 750 MB/s, and the write speed is up to 320 MB/s. Besides, it also supports read- and write-intensive use cases, including AI-enabled video cameras and edge devices.

In addition, it supports for up to 768 TBW and provides the robust endurance levels required for the continuous recording conditions. Its EFD aims at the advanced NAND flash management firmware, like robust error correction code, read-refresh, wear-leveling and bad block management.

WD Purple MicroSD Card

In the earlier of this year, the WD company has introduced the WD Purple microSD card which is specially designed for surveillance cameras which has high performance, endurance and reliability to 24*7 video surveillance cameras at the edge.

Currently, the capacity of the drive can reach up to 256 GB and it supports up to 1,000 P/E cycles. And with the help of 3D NAND technology, the WD Purple MicroSD card can deliver long-lasting and on-camera storage for the AI-enabled and high-resolution professional surveillance cameras which need 24*7 continuous operation workloads.

The operating temperatures of this drive range from -25°C to 85°C, and it is humidity resistant. Thus, it can work under extreme weather conditions indoor and outdoor.
