New Windows 10 20H1 (version 2003) is planned to launch in spring 2020. Microsoft has released several insider preview builds of Windows 10 20H1, adding some new features and changes in Windows 10.
Windows 10 20H1 Update (version 2003) is expected to release in May or April of 2020 and will bring many new features and improvements. Though we still don’t know much about the upcoming new features of Windows 10 20H1, we start to see some changes which will be available in Windows 10 version 2003 based on these announced Windows 10 20H1 Insider Preview Builds like 18912, etc.
Predictive Typing in Windows 10 20H1
In the latest Windows 10 20H1 build, a new predictive typing feature has been found. When users type words in Windows 10, it will display some text suggestions that Windows predicts you are going to write, so that users can quickly select what they want to write. We are not sure if Microsoft will bring predictive typing into all Windows 10 apps, or part of apps. Microsoft is expected to improve the accuracy and performance of the text predictions in future.
Windows 10 20H1 Build 18912 Adds Narrator Improvements
Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 18912 adds a list of new features and updates in Windows 10. The new Narrator feature in Windows 10 can tell users the title of a page that’s linked to by pressing Caps + Ctrl + D keys on the keyboard at the same time. Users can easily disable this feature in Narrator Settings.
Improved Notification Settings in Windows 10 20H1
Microsoft Windows 10 20H1 update will make some improvements in the Notification Settings. The upcoming Windows 10 20H1 can let users sort Notification senders by Name and Most recent. Users can also set the number of notifications visible in action center, and set the priority of notifications in action center.
Windows 10 20H1 Build 18898 Makes Disk Type Visible in Task Manager
Windows 10 build 18898 updates the Task Manager. Now in the computer Task Manager Performance tab, users can see the drive type like SSD. For computers which have several hard drives, this can help easily recognize drives and test hard drive speed and performance.
File Explorer Improvements in Windows 10 20H1 Build 18894
Windows 10 version 2003 will have a new File Explorer search experience. The search box in new File Explorer will be controlled by Windows Search and integrated with OneDrive content online. Besides, the File Explorer also have a new drop-down list which can indicates users’ search history once clicking the search box (Ctrl + E). This improvement is tested within a small part of Insiders now. After the quality of user experience is validated, it will be released to more Insiders.
Windows 10 20H1 Would Support More Dictation Languages
From Build 18885, the upcoming Windows 10 2020 update will support more languages in dictation. Aside from English (US), it will support dictation in other 12 languages, incl. English (Canada), English (UK), English (Australia), English (India), French (France), French (Canada), German (Germany), Italian (Italy), Spanish (Spain), Spanish (Mexico), Portuguese (Brazil), and Chinese (Simplified, China). If users don’t know how to spell a word in a specific language, the updated language dictation can help them easily get the desired word automatically.
