Method 1. Make Chrome Default Browser through Default Apps

Step 1. Open Default Apps

You can click Start menu on your Windows 10/8/7, and click Settings.

For Windows 10 original version, you can click System -> Default apps.

For Windows Creators Update, you can click Apps -> Default apps to open your default apps Window.

Alternatively, you can also click Start, type Default app settings, and select the top result Default app settings -> Default apps to open Window default apps.

Step 2. Make Chrome Default Browser Windows 10

Next you can scroll down and click the current browser under Web browser.

In the pop-up Choose an app window, you can see a list of all available browsers in your computer.

Step 2. Click Settings from the drop-down menu to access Chrome’s settings window.

Step 3. Then scroll down to locate Default browser section. Click Make default button, and the computer will bring you to the Default apps Window where you can choose and make Chrome as your default browser.

The process of making Firefox as your default Windows browser is almost the same.

• You can open Firefox browser, and click Firefox menu button at the top-right corner.

How to Make Chrome Default Browser Android

If you want to make Chrome as default browser in your Android phones, you can follow the steps below.

Step 2. Click Apps & notifications -> Default apps.
